The Nissan Quest will not be renewed for the 2018 model year, ending a tumultuous nearly 25-year race for the brand’s most family-friendly model.
Nissan’s decision to discontinue the Quest comes as no huge surprise, but it’s not a solid sign for a market segment down more than 18% year-on-year in the United States. A Quest 2017 technically existed, but as The truth about cars Specifically, it was sold almost exclusively to fleet buyers such as car rental companies.
This means that consumers who are actually looking for a Quest at their local Nissan dealership may not have been able to find one to take a test drive (unless, of course, they’ve rented one). Due to this limited offer, CarsDirect says there aren’t particularly any great deals available on the few remaining quests that languish in the showrooms.

About 165,000 new vans have been sold so far this year in the United States, a figure that includes both retail sales to consumers and fleet deliveries to government and commercial buyers. This is a far cry from the roughly 200,000 vans last year during the same period.
Only the Chrysler Pacifica is up year over year, and that’s not much of a surprise. The then-new 2017 Pacifica was just hitting dealerships around this time last year. That said, over 10,000 Pacificas were sold in April of this year, making it America’s best-selling pickup truck last month.
