The 2023 Sienna will begin arriving at U.S. dealerships soon. Although we didn’t spot it at dealerships, some dealerships have confirmed the vehicles are in transit and have posted it on their local websites. 2023 is the third model year for the fourth generation minivan. Here’s what you can expect from the 2023 Toyota Sienna hybrid minivan:
Designed in the USA, the Shinkansen-inspired fourth-generation Toyota Sienna is two years old and doesn’t need a design update yet. For MY2023, it has not undergone any major changes externally or internally.
Characteristics and qualities
Toyota has confirmed that there are no changes as far as features are concerned either. The 2023 Toyota Sienna will be available with premium features such as kick-opening and closing sliding side doors and tailgate, Super-Long Slide captain’s chairs with ottomans and heating function, air conditioning system 4-zone, 12-speaker JBL audio system, and 10-inch color HUD.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (TSS 2.0) is standard on the 2023 Sienna. It includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Dynamic Full-Speed Radar Cruise Control , automatic high beams, lane keeping assist and traffic sign assist.
The 2023 Toyota Sienna 25th Anniversary Edition is a new addition to the hybrid minivan lineup for the new model year. LE, XLE, XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited and Platinum grades from MY2022 have been carried over. The availability of the new 25th Anniversary Edition grade will be limited to 2,525 units.
The 25th Anniversary Edition is a limited edition, as you would expect from its name, celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Sienna. Toyota has sold more than 2.2 million units of the Sienna since its debut in 1997. The Celebration category includes exclusive exterior and interior trim for unique styling. It is based on the sporty XSE grade and includes additional luxury interior features borrowed from the top-spec Limited grade.
Toyota will offer the 25th Anniversary Edition of the 2023 Sienna in Celestial Silver and Icy Pearl colors. The limited-edition model features special black badging, black mirror caps and a shark fin antenna, as well as special “25th Anniversary” floor mats. The company will give it away with an exclusive keychain that’s black in color and features silver stitching and a “25th anniversary” badge.
The 2023 Sienna 25th Anniversary Edition borrows bolder bumpers, black ORVM caps, 20-inch five-spoke wheels and sport-tuned suspension from the XSE grade. In addition, it has roof rails, a JBL sound system, navigation, wireless charging and a 1500 watt converter from the XSE Plus package. Features shared with the Limited trim include ORVMs with memory, auto-dimming, puddle lighting, power folding and a tilt-down function, illuminated door sills, black leather upholstery with silver stitching, heated and ventilated front seats with memory, memory steering column and second row seats with ottomans.

The 2023 Toyota Sienna has no changes when it comes to specs. The TNGA-K-based minivan uses the familiar 245hp Toyota Hybrid System II powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with up to two electric motors (front in FWD/front and rear in AWD). A 1.9 kWh Ni-MH battery allows low-speed electric-only driving over short distances.
The 2023 Sienna Hybrid has the same EPA-est. fuel economy ratings as the previous model year. It delivers 36 MPG (city/combined/highway) without an AWD system and 35 MPG (city/combined)/36 MPG (highway) with an AWD system.
